This 2014 KME 102’ Rear Mount Platform is a low-mileage, high-capability aerial platform built on a rugged Predator chassis with a powerful 500 HP Cummins engine. Originally a demo unit that only appeared at conferences before entering service, it has been well maintained and was in active use until June 2025, after which it has only been used for training. The apparatus features a unique short scrub area (less rear overhang), approximately 4 feet shorter than comparable towers, allowing the platform to be set on the ground without rear overhang interference. The short scrub area also increases maneuverability in tight spaces. This apparatus has undergone third-party testing in early 2026 and passed aerial testing in 2025 making it a turnkey, safety-verified unit ready for immediate deployment due to scheduled fleet replacement.
